Mama is leaving the boys

...well for 11 days. I'm going to Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong with my boyfriend and his sister. It's the first time that I'm leaving them for more than a day. I'm alittle scared. Hope my mom take care of them well.

Last pics of them before I depart from them.

Comfy couch

I'm addicted to www.guineapigcages.com. I kept seeing owners with adorable beds for their piggies so I decided to make one for my boys. Martha Stewart - watch out now! All I needed was cloth, foam board and needle/thread.

And the result. Porkchop appreciated it. His cute lil fanny.

Cage - From Old to New

First day of getting Porkchop and Kobe, I wasn't prepare of getting all the supplies before getting them.

There first cage was in a laundry basket. It was the biggest container that I can put them in. But these two guinea pigs are larger than a typical guinea pigs I've seen. I only had them in this home for a week because I know they need a better one.

Second home, I made a home out of cardboard box. Again, it's temporary before I can afford a C&C cage.

It's so clean

A couple mins later they ruin it

There new home in my bedroom.

As an animal lover, I wanted to adopt guinea pigs for the first time. I always had hamsters but I wanted a different pet. I wanted a puppy at first but my mother was so strict about it. I went on craigslist in search for guinea pigs for adoption and I came across two male guinea in Long Island. As first, I couldn't pick them up since I do not know how to drive over to Long Island but the lady I was contacting over in Long Island was asking if I still wanted them since no one claims them. On May 31, 2008, My boyfriend decided to drive me over to East Village Green Animal Hospital to pick up my new babies. I love the Animal Hospital because the staff's pets were allow to wandering around the place. It was very pet friendly. The front desk lady was so sweet, she let me see the two guinea pigs and their parents before I gave her the big Yes. She gave me a carrier for free with the dish full of food. I was very happy. We went to the pet shop to buy some supplies.
